Minelab GPZ 8000

The GPZ 8000 takes ZVT technology a generation further with GeoZVT ground processing, three Z-Set ring coils sized for different terrain, and true stereo Echo Sonic Pro audio — Minelab's newest and most capable gold detector as of 2026.

Where the GPZ 7000 established ZVT as Minelab's deepest gold-detecting platform, the GPZ 8000 pushes it forward with GeoZVT — next-generation ground processing that carries lessons learned from both the 7000 and the GPX 6000 into a single flagship.

Three concentric Z-Set ring coils ship with it: Z18 for maximum depth in open ground, Z17 for conductive, noisy soil, and Z13 for working through dense vegetation. Each is shaped to cut ground noise differently depending on the terrain you're actually standing on.

Echo Sonic Pro audio runs true stereo — two independent channels reaching each ear in real time instead of blending everything into one dominant tone — which hands you more control over telling target signal from ground noise. The Pro-Swing 125 harness distributes the detector's weight across your body rather than your arm, and two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries keep it running through long prospecting days in tough terrain.
