Minelab GPZ 7000
ZVT technology gives the GPZ 7000 magnetic fields stable enough to reach up to 40% deeper than Minelab's GPX series, which is why it's still the detector professional prospectors reach for on ground already worked over by everything else.

ZVT technology gives the GPZ 7000 magnetic fields stable enough to reach up to 40% deeper than Minelab's GPX series, which is why it's still the detector professional prospectors reach for on ground already worked over by everything else.
Minelab built the GPZ 7000 around exclusive ZVT (Zero Voltage Transmission) technology — a way of generating continuously stable magnetic fields that boosts sensitivity to gold even where hot rocks and difficult ground would normally drown out a signal.
Its 14×13-inch Super-D coil pairs a central transmit coil with two outer receive coils, which cuts magnetic ground interference well beyond what a standard coil manages. Add 256-channel noise cancelling and what's left is the sound of gold, not clutter.
A u-blox GPS engine ties location and timestamp data to your detector settings automatically, building WayPoint, FindPoint, and GeoHunt files you can pull into XChange 2 later. Wireless audio through the WM 12 module runs under 10ms latency, so there's no perceptible lag between a signal and the sound in your ears.
Key Features
Exclusive ZVT technology
Generates continuously stable magnetic fields, the basis for reaching up to 40% more depth than the GPX series.
Super-D coil
A central transmit coil plus two receive coils cut ground noise well below what a standard coil allows.
256-channel noise cancelling
Filters out airborne interference so a faint gold signal isn't lost in the background.
Full-color LCD display
Keeps menus simple despite the depth of settings underneath.
Built-in GPS
Tags every promising location automatically, with no separate device needed.
WM 12 wireless audio
Cuts the cable without introducing lag you'd notice in the field.
Weatherproof
Keeps working through rain and damp conditions that would sideline less rugged gear.
Gold Mode
High Yield pushes sensitivity, General covers everyday ground, and Extra Deep chases maximum depth in gold-rich soil.
Ground Type
Normal, Difficult, and Severe settings match the detector's processing to how tough the soil actually is.
Ground Balance (Quick-Trak)
Runs automatically or resets instantly at the press of the Quick-Trak trigger when ground conditions shift.
GPS & XChange 2 Mapping
Records WayPoints, FindPoints, and GeoHunts, then hands the data to Google Maps through XChange 2.

Who Should Use the Minelab GPZ 7000?
Professional prospectors seeking the maximum depth available on the market
ZVT technology is what pushes detection up to 40% deeper than Minelab's own GPX series.
Old goldfields that need advanced technology to find what other detectors have missed
Super-D coil design and 256-channel noise cancelling reach past interference that hid targets from earlier machines.
Highly mineralized ground and hot rocks
The Severe ground type setting is built specifically for soil that would otherwise chatter constantly on lesser detectors.
Anyone who wants to log detecting locations and revisit them via built-in GPS
Built-in GPS ties WayPoints and FindPoints to your settings automatically, with no separate mapping device required.
