Minelab's newest Vanquish opens at full IP68 waterproofing to 5 meters — Park, Beach, and All-Metal modes, 119 target IDs, and a 1.16 kg build that's the simplest way into the 60-series.
The 360 opens Minelab's newer Vanquish 60-series, and the biggest jump from the classic range shows up immediately: this one is IP68-rated to 5 meters across the whole unit, not just at the coil, so streams and wet soil are no longer a limitation. Multi-IQ still runs multiple frequencies simultaneously underneath, matching itself to ground and target type automatically.
Three preset modes — Park, Beach, and All Metal — plus 119 target ID numbers and 6 discrimination segments give a new user enough resolution to separate coins and jewelry from junk without wading through menus. Built-in Pinpoint mode narrows down the dig site once you've got a signal.
An aluminum-and-fiberglass shaft in an S-bend design keeps the balance right through long sweeps, and at 1.16 kg it's built for sessions that run long. The included V10X coil (10×7 in, Double-D) is waterproof by design, and the built-in battery runs up to 10 hours between magnetic USB charges.
Key Features
Multi-IQ technology
reads multiple frequencies in parallel so response stays reliable whether you're over sand, clay, or mineralized soil.
Full IP68 waterproofing
the entire unit — not just the coil — is rated for submersion to 5 meters.
119 target IDs
gives fine-enough target numbering to judge a find's likely composition before digging.
Three search modes
Park, Beach, and All Metal are preset and ready, so there's no manual tuning between sites.
Lightweight
1.16 kg keeps the arm fresh well past the first hour of swinging.
Long-lasting battery
built-in lithium-ion runs up to 10 hours before it needs a charge.
Built-in Pinpoint mode
narrows a signal down to a tighter spot so you dig one smaller hole instead of a trench.
Multi-IQ Technology
runs several frequencies together rather than one at a time, which is what lets a single machine cover coins, jewelry, and general metal without manual frequency changes.
Park / Beach / All Metal Search Modes
three purpose-built presets that switch in seconds as you move from a crowded park to open sand.
Audio & Target Tones
five volume levels and three tones (low, medium, high) give a basic but usable way to judge target type by ear.
Sensitivity & Discrimination
5 sensitivity levels and 6 discrimination segments are enough control to manage ground noise without overwhelming a first-time user.

Beginners seeking professional performance without complicated settings
Three ready-made modes and automatic Multi-IQ operation mean there's no ground balance or frequency setting to learn first.
Hobbyists searching for coins and jewelry in parks and on beaches
Park and Beach modes are purpose-built for exactly these two environments, switching in seconds as you move between them.
Anyone who prefers a lightweight, easy-to-carry detector for long outings
At 1.16 kg with a balanced S-bend shaft, it's comfortable to carry through a full day of searching.
