Minelab's deepest pinpointer yet, the Pro-Find 40 detects roughly 10% deeper than the Pro-Find 35 and adds Rapid Re-Tune, letting you reset to changing ground with a single button press instead of losing time to interference.
The Pro-Find 40 sits above the Pro-Find 35 in Minelab's pinpointer range, with around 10% more detection depth and the same five sensitivity levels, Ferrous Tone ID, and DIF interference rejection carried over — plus a rating of 3 meters (10 feet) for wet and underwater work.
VLF and DIF technologies combine for a cleaner, more accurate response, even in crowded sites or heavily mineralized ground: a continuous single-frequency wave for fast, reliable detection, and interference rejection that keeps a nearby detector from muddying the signal.
What's new here is Rapid Re-Tune — one button press to re-tune the unit instantly when ground conditions change, cutting interference in mineralized or difficult soil and getting you back to recovery faster than resetting manually would.
A built-in LED flashlight covers low-light target areas, and vibration feedback strengthens as you approach — clear enough to feel even underwater. It runs about 20 hours on a 9V PP3 battery, ships with a semi-rigid holster and safety lanyard, and its red handle carries a Lost Alarm so it's easy to relocate if you drop it.

Who Should Use the Minelab Pro-Find 40?
Professionals seeking maximum detection depth and accuracy
About 10% deeper than the Pro-Find 35, it's currently Minelab's most capable pinpointer for precise recovery.
Beach, river, and shallow-water hunting thanks to high water resistance
The 3-meter rating covers surf, river beds, and streams without needing a separate waterproof tool.
Mineralized or difficult ground, where Rapid Re-Tune helps
A single button press re-tunes the unit on the spot when soil conditions shift mid-search.
Iron-heavy sites, where Ferrous Tone ID is useful
Ferrous Tone ID flags probable iron with a distinct tone, saving digs on scrap-heavy sites.
