Go Find 22 is what Minelab built for someone who's tried detecting once and wants a bit more information back. Under the hood, V-FLEX's dual-microcontroller circuitry reduces distortion, and four discrimination icons — nail, foil, ring, coin — flash up on the display so you can size up a target before you dig.

The step up from the 11 is mainly about telling targets apart faster: a low tone flags likely iron, a high tone flags coins and other precious metals, so you can often make the call by ear before even checking the screen. Automatic Easy-Trak ground balancing adjusts to the soil on its own, and the same light, foldable shaft keeps it easy to carry between the garden, beach, or campsite.

It keeps the 8-inch waterproof coil, two search modes (All Metal and Iron Reject), and three sensitivity levels from the 11, but adds a 3-level depth indicator and five volume settings — enough extra control to feel like a real upgrade without turning into a machine you need a manual for.
