Garrett ACE Apex

Garrett folds AT-series multi-frequency detection and cable-free Z-Lynk audio into an ACE that weighs just 2.5 lbs.

The Apex is where the ACE range stops being entry-level. It runs true simultaneous multi-frequency detection — 5, 10, 15, and 20 kHz individually, or Multi-Frequency and Multi-Salt blended — selectable mid-hunt rather than locked in at setup. Lower frequencies favour high-conductivity metal like silver and copper; push higher and sensitivity shifts toward low-conductivity targets such as small gold.

The 6" x 11" DD Multi-Flex Viper coil is fully waterproof, not just submersible, so wading a shallow creek or working the swash zone at the beach is normal operation, not a risk. Garrett's own Z-Lynk wireless tech is built into the control box and streams audio to compatible headphones roughly six times faster than Bluetooth, with none of the pairing delay that makes fast target ID feel laggy over standard wireless.

A Hybrid Audio System blends binary on/off tones with proportional audio for weak, deep signals, and 5-Tone Audible Target ID adds another audio layer for judging targets by ear alone. At 2.5 lbs, running on a built-in rechargeable battery good for roughly 15 hours per charge, it's light enough for a full day of coin shooting, relic hunting, or gold prospecting without the fatigue a heavier multi-frequency machine would bring.
