Garrett designed the ACE 200i to answer a simple question: what does a first metal detector actually need to do? The answer is a fixed 6.5 kHz frequency tuned for coins and jewelry, plus One-Touch operation that skips settings entirely — pick it up, switch it on, and you're already hunting.

Its 6.5" x 9" PROformance concentric coil is fully submersible, so wading into shallow water or working wet sand won't slow you down (the control box itself stays dry-only). Above the coil, a Digital Target ID scale running 0 to 99 pairs with a target depth indicator, giving a rough read on what's below before you ever pick up a trowel.

At 2.75 lbs and breaking down into three pieces, it's built to travel — packed in a car boot, carried on a bus, or handed to a curious kid without worrying about damage.
