The entry point into Minelab's Equinox range: the same Multi-IQ core as the 700 and 900, three switchable single frequencies, six mode presets, and a 12-hour battery, in a package built to keep cost and complexity down.
Equinox 600 runs the same simultaneous Multi-IQ core found in the 700 and 900 above it, just without the extra frequencies and discrimination resolution that add cost and complexity higher up the range. It's fully waterproof to 3 meters (10 feet), so a shallow stream or a wet beach won't end your session early.
Three switchable single frequencies — 5, 10, and 15 kHz — sit alongside the automatic Multi-IQ mode, effectively giving you four ways to work a site from one machine. Park, Field, and Beach modes each carry two savable presets, and Pinpoint mode narrows down a signal once you know something's there.
The 11-inch EQX11 Double-D coil comes with its own cover, and the internal battery runs up to 12 hours — longer than either of the models above it. It doesn't ship with wireless headphones in the box, but it is compatible with Minelab's WM 08 set and with low-latency Bluetooth/aptX headphones if you decide to add them later.
Key Features
Multi-IQ technology
runs multiple frequencies automatically in the background, with nothing to switch by hand.
Fully waterproof up to 3 meters
handles wet sand, shallow streams, and rain without special precautions.
Pinpoint mode
zeroes in on a target's exact position once you've got a solid signal.
3 search modes with 6 presets
Park, Field, and Beach, each holding two savable presets for quick recall.
3 single frequencies (3F x 3)
5, 10, and 15 kHz give you three focused alternatives to the all-round Multi-IQ mode.
50 target ID segments
enough resolution to separate likely targets from obvious junk before digging.
Battery life up to 12 hours
the longest runtime in the current Equinox lineup, on the internal lithium-ion cell.
Upgradeable
firmware updates load over USB on Windows or Mac as Minelab releases them.
Park 1 & 2 mode
built for gardens and busy public ground, with two presets you can tailor and save separately.
Field 1 & 2 mode
balances depth against discrimination for farmland and older, undisturbed sites.
Beach 1 & 2 mode
uses Multi-IQ to cut down on the false signals wet and dry sand tend to cause.
Pinpoint mode (dedicated)
shrinks the dig area down after a signal, so you're not opening a bigger hole than necessary.
