A Russian-engineered deep-search VLF that reads targets as a graphical hodograph instead of a single tone.
AKA Intronika, based in Moscow, builds the Signum MFD around two things few other detectors offer together: patented space-harmonic filtering (SFT) for signal processing, and a 'hodograph' target-identification method that renders each buried target as a shape on screen rather than reducing it to a beep.
Underneath, the electronics transmit and process across a 1-30 kHz range, and with the 10" DD/7kHz coil fitted, an automatic compensator pushes usable sensitivity to roughly 65cm on a 25mm coin — deep enough that operators reach for it specifically on buried caches and old relic sites where cheaper VLF machines run out of range first. Three switchable discrimination algorithms (MSF, SSF, MM) let you retune the detector for iron-contaminated ground, mixed terrain, or a general-purpose setting depending on what the site throws at you.
Dynamic and static search modes cover moving-sweep and stationary work respectively, and ground balance can run automatically, with adjustable readjustment speed, or be set by hand, with hot-rock suppression built in to keep non-metallic mineral rocks from generating false signals. A dedicated Turbo mode adds a further program aimed purely at extreme-depth targets.
The control housing is waterproof and pairs with a quick-release, tool-free coil mount, so switching between AKA's wider range of dedicated deep-search coils in the field takes seconds rather than a toolkit.
Key Features
Space-Harmonic Filtering (SFT)
AKA's own patented signal-processing method, built to sharpen target identification and cut down on false signals other VLF units let through
Hodograph Target ID
each target renders as a spectral-graphic shape on the 128x64 LCD, giving a visual read instead of relying on tone alone
1-30 kHz Multi-Frequency Range
the electronics transmit and process across a wide band, so the same unit adapts across different soil types and target sizes
Turbo Deep-Search Mode
a separate program tuned specifically for locating large objects once depth becomes the limiting factor
Triple Discrimination Algorithms
MSF, SSF, and MM modes retune the detector for iron-heavy, mixed, or open ground rather than forcing one setting everywhere
Automatic & Manual Ground Balance
corrects for mineralized soil on its own, with adjustable readjustment speed, or can be dialed in manually when conditions call for it
Waterproof Control Housing
a sealed control unit pairs with a quick-release, tool-free coil mount for fast swaps between AKA's deep-search coils in the field

Who Should Use the AKA Signum?
Deep relic hunting
The 65cm depth rating on a 25mm coin, with the 10" DD/7kHz coil fitted, puts old, deeply buried relics within reach of a standard VLF detector.
Mineralized and iron-heavy ground
Switchable MSF, SSF, and MM discrimination plus hot-rock suppression keep false signals down on ground that would swamp a single-algorithm detector.
Professional treasure hunting operations
Four user-programmable presets and a quick-release coil mount let a team switch configurations and coils fast between sites.
Coin and cache recovery
The hodograph display and Turbo mode combine to help pinpoint bulk coin caches once you're past casual coin-shooting depth.
